I'm trying to install with the 3.0.19-2002-02-09 bootfloppies, with
network method. dbootstrap claims that dpkg_1.9.19_powerpc.deb is corrupt,
whatever mirror I use.
any solutions? (besides the base-images, which I only now found and will
try:)

as it seems, my problem wasn't with the original .deb's being corrupted. I
downloaded the basedebs.tar, gzipped it to basedebs.tgz and tried to
install. It appears the gunzip is reporting crc errors and it's totally
random. It isn't caused by network, I copied a plain tar to target and
