Disk Utilities to try and repair the disk. Not sure if it'll fix
/etc/ttys, but that should get you back to the point where you can
mount the volume in Linux.

Search for SOURCE_CLEAN_HOOK in the make-kpkg man page.
You might try googling for that as well-- I'm sure someone has posted
scripts to clean out a BK working copy.

You might try this set of options instead:
fmask=0644,dmask=0755,uid=bjosch
changing fmask and dmask to 0600 and 0700, respectively, if you don't
want other users to be able to read the files.

-w--w- 2 bjosch root 16384 1970-01-01 01:00 /emporion
(man, that's an embarrassing mistake on my part.) Umask is inverted
(bitwise "not" operation) before being applied, so you probably want
"umask=022" for rwxr-xr-x permissions.

you get an error with mtune or mcpu you should try with march (which is now

if your version of gcc doesn't like -mtune/-mcpu=G4, try -mtune=7400
(or 750 if you have a G3, but then I suppose you wouldn't want the
Altivec options, either)
