Hi All,
I'm trying to set up a system that will load a compressed root image
from the disk (eventually flash) into a ramdisk and run the root
filesystem from ram. I was wondering if there is an "rdev" type utility
for the PPC that lets the kernel know that it wants to load a compressed
image into

Has anyone else seen this behavior and perhaps have a fix?

this looks like it's doing something but I can't tell what because it
flashes some text on the screen and then gives a broken monitor icon and
hangs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am
actually trying to load a program named yaboot that is located at the
root level of the cd.

how to get around the above problem I'd really like to hear (or read ;)
that.
Thanks,
Andy
