Hi All, I'm trying to mount windows 2000 shares onto my linux box and I'm getting hung up. I've recompiled my kernel (from benh's tree, version 2.4.5-pre3) with support for smb filesystems. The problem is, even with the new kernel, when I try to mount a share:
wolf:/# mount -t smb //HWServer/Documents /mnt -o username=andrew.dixon Password: ERROR: smbfs filesystem not supported by the kernel Please refer to the smbmnt(8) manual page smbmnt failed: 255 wolf:/# It fails and tells me that I don't have kernel support for it. Right after I compiled it in. Has anyone else seen this behavior and perhaps have a fix? Thanks for any help, Andy -- Andrew Dixon Software Engineer Seranoa Networks 978.897.3434 x231
