Hi all,
I know this is OT, though
The second RAM row of my AlPB15" G4 isn`t recognized neither in
LINUX nor in OSX. I changed the chips to check them working: OK
Is there a jumper or something to activate the row or do I have to
change the motherboard?
Thank you in advance

Not really missing, we know exactly where it is. As previously
unknown packages, all 2.6.9 related stuff is waiting in the new queue.

Hello List,
I'm looking for a Hardware-Raid which works on PowerPC Linux.
I tried the following SCSI Raid-controller but had some problems:
DPT SmartRaid V Millennium
AMI MegaRaid 500 Express
ICP GDT 6118 RP
Could you please recommend me some working Raid-controllers ?
Cheers

Why would Jens be vetoing ?

Sorry for being late. I just tried the patch against vanilla 2.6.9 on
a PowerBook 5,3 (17",
Good news on the DVD play back issues I was having
with my iBook running Ubuntu Linux v4.10.
First I have to type: hdparm -d1 /dev/hdb
this turns on UDMA2 for my DVD-ROM
Where would I put this command so it is done
automatically at boot up?
I installed xine-ui instead of totem-xine and
Well, kind of.
The credit for this goes to the Gentoo forum:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=117774
I simply did:
# apt-get install qemu
# apt-get install mozplugger
downloaded the flash_x86.tar.bz2 file linked in the gentoo forum page and
then edited /etc/mozpluggerrc by adding:

I compiled it 2.6.9 with OHCI-HCD in the kernel. It doesn't work.
I put OHCI-HCD as module and launch it like this : modprode ohci-hcd.
That's WORK
I just had to launch modprode usbmouse to make working my mouse
I feel good

Hi Ben,
Thanks for the tips. I'll see if I can figure out what is causing the DMA
to be turned off. I remember I had this same problem with YDL 3.0.1 on the
same machine.
Tried disabling DRC ?
DRC is Digital Room Correction?
Where would I disable that?
