I suggest you at least check the model by checking the OF device-tree

Hi,
A little tip :
If you boot the powerbook *closed*, with an external crt connected and
on, you can use the external screen. With some tests before, but it works.
Next time, I'll test this with a videoprojector (that's what I need in
fact...).

I'm thinking of switching to Debian, but have a few questions before
making the jump:
What versions of Gnome/OpenOffice come with Debian (or will I have to
compile them?)
Is there an easy way to config XWindows, like Gentoo's Xeasyconfig,
which automatically detected my iMac video.
Thanks!

Hi!
Just a simple query... I _may_ have a chance to get a ppc64
machine. Is anyone interested in such a port?
I know that it basically works with the 32 bit binaries, but the
installation is non trivial right now and having no 64 bit code
isn't optimal, too.
Thanks,

I seem to be having issues with compiling a 2.6 kernel on my Umax
"SuperMac" S900 (essentially a PowerMac 9600 clone). I'm able to compile
a kernel without difficulties as long as I do not configure for Mac
floppy drive support. If I include the Mac floppy drive support, the
kernel compile aborts.

Hello again all. Another strange n00b issue I need help fixing. I've noticed
that my system clock has been incorrect for several days, and I have been unable
to fix it. I did date -s "correct time" (with the correct numbers, of course,

I've installed Debian 'Woody' on my 500MHz G3 iMac. I'd like to use
Xeasyconf (which I had much success with in Gentoo) to configure my
X-Windows. Where can I get the binary? Thanks.
