Actually, it turns out that I needed to reboot. I expected that if the
X-server wasn't running, and then I 'startx' it would recognize everything.
Apparently not.
I'm running woody now, and I had to add the XkbDisable, same as before (about
a week or two now, in another post) to allow my keybo

You probably want -75dpi or -100dpi and -scalable and/or -scalable-nofree as
well.

I have reinstalled woody (after my boot floppy test failed), by going
from reistalling potato and then upgrading to woody. I foolishly didn't
back up my X settings, because I had X 4.0.3 working just fine before.
