Another interesting thing about the current implementation of sleep
on the TiPB is that I noticed that the LCD screen is still on (i.e. I
can see windows) even though the backlight goes off and the sleep
light comes on. BTW, I did confirm that it works for me under X, as

Hello Benjamin!
Do you have something new to test for sleep on TiPB?
BTW. If I remember right, FireWire is not switched off during sleep,
will this happen in the near future?
Maybe some interface to configure which device should be powered on
during sleep and which device can be powered off durin

Yes! That's it!
Hello Benjamin!
I´ve just tested your kernel on my TiPB and can tell that both users are
right. I ´ve just put my TiPB to sleep with mol running (close lid)
after 30 minutes I opened the lid and mol was running fine, no problems,
At this moment I ran X and the TiPB is sleeping, with this nice bli

I just updated linux-2.4-benh, and now sleep works on my Ti. Thanks!
Interesting, I tried with an rsync kernel has night and couldn't get
it work. When did you rsync?

it everything starts working again. Hooray!

Hi,
That's a well known problem for which you can find a solution in the
archives:
sleep is not supported on Core99 machines. Well, was not.
You can find experimental (although it worked very fine for me) support
in BenH's latest tree (check penguinppc.org for instructions on getting
the kernel).
