Last time I checked, none of the unstable or testing installers worked either.
It was only by accident that I discovered choosing the advanced option from
Lenny does it ask if I want stable, testin

Bad news.
I compile a custom kernel this weekend, setting CONFIG_SCSI_PROC_FS to
'y'. In the official one, it is turned off so no legacy /proc/scsi
directory. I will pray for this to work

I tried booting the same disc on a PowerMac G4 (mirrored door) and got a white
screen. But the same thing happened with Ubuntu. Are there any issues with
yaboot & this system and/or the Radeon 9000 Pro card that shipped with these
units? I guess I should search the list archive, eh? ;)

I tried this on the same G5 with mostly the same results. I've
archived /var/log/* and /etc/yaboot conf here:
http://ftp.extensis.com/ppc/logs/
I will give a quick try on a G4 next so if you see additional files
with today's date/time stamp then that is what they're from.

If you have access to the Lenny installer source, it was able to correctly set
up my yaboot.conf for a successful install of Squeeze. Thank you for working on
this. I've a

I meant I'm gonna do some check this installer what modules are
included at its boot-time.

It was a blank drive but it formatted it with ext3.

That's OK as this was using the 64-bit installer... good thing I
couldn't get it to work on the G4
Thank you. I'm sure I will need help to solve this. The official image
works, so something must be missing from this di.
What FS do you use on sda3?

I'm planning to create other experimental cd-sets regarding to this
port (of course with Yaboot 1.3.16), and live-usb images.
Please let me know what packages should be included. I see more Mac
users than IBM PowerPC but it seems it works well on both.

Everyone can download from here for testing. In a few weeks I'll
remove the files but am happy to host additional iterations.
http://ftp.extensis.com/it/deb/debian-unstable-ppc-bah.iso
http://ftp.
Thank you all.
Temporarly, I uploaded the ISO, md5 and the important README file to:
http://visaportal.hu/dl/debppc/
Where you can download them. Gary, I already uploaded the ISO to your ftp site.
MD5 checksum is: 6278f3a71c19828e4532578e81fbf0ef
Thank you again,

Hi,
I've repackaged yaboot 1.3.16 with modified mkofboot symlink and created a
minimal di cdrom iso (~230MB).
This installer works without any issue. It is a very minimal installer with
some additional packages, under profile 'bah' :
bzip2
ifenslave-2.6
iptables
joe
linux-image-2.6-powerpc6
