didn't seem to change anything (as i wasn't able to find any kind of
documentation of the relevant hardware on the Apple WWW site). So
i'm looking for ideas on how to fix this. Anyone been here bef

I have no idea whether that will help you, but it might be worth a try.

I tried the older binary on the 'www.cons.org' site and it faulted
immediately. 'cmucl' compiles itself, so it's non-trivial to build
from scratch. Does anyone already have a working copy or do i need
to try cross-compile the thing?

k). If that works
for you, then you can probably boot LUNIX without BootX or Quik (and
for me, that works without a keyboard/monitor). If there's interest,
i'll explain how to boot from a dedicated HFS partition instead of
using BootX.

you can't get your display card to work in native mode.

This one i've been able to work around. However, an unclean disk
seems to be correlated with not being able to start up MOL at all.
There are other modes of failure, but these are the most repeatable.

Until then, I have .debs and source (without build-dependencies,
unfortunately) here:

I'll be interested to hear other people's reports on this. Myself, i'd
rather be running off of sources if i have the time and disk space to do
so (and i definitely have the space).

I don't know if it'll fix your problem, but it won't take long to try.
