laptop sleep changes ALSA switch ("failed to set volume")

Hi, When I send my Powerbook 5,4 to sleep (closing the lid), and then wake it up by opening it again, the "headphone" switch in ALSA is unset, even if it was set before the sleep. What could be causing this? Here is the dmesg output from suspending & waking up: failed to set volume eth0: suspen

mozilla-mplayer does not show video

I am using pbbuttonsd, and the F1-F5 keys work as they should. However, 1. I cannot use Ctrl-Alt-F1 etc to switch to a text console - is it because of pbbuttonsd? 2. I would prefer to use Fn-F1 etc instead and not have the F1-F5 keys captured. Is this possible? Thank you, Tamas -- To UNSUB

exim4 does not deliver all local messages instantly

I download my mail using fetchmail. When I have a lot of messages, some of them don't get to the mailbox instantly, but keep sitting in the queue for a while. runq as root fixes the problem. Any idea why this is happening, and what I could do about it? I am using exim4-lightweight. Tamas --

I just installed a sarge netinst daily image, it works fine but there are a few problems: - sound is not working, there is no /dev/dsp, I am using the standard 2.6.8 kernel from testing, what should I do, recompile the kernel, get a more recent one, etc? - how can I have the Command/Apple key beh
