that the kernel involved was not
supporting the fans. I got my version of ubuntu for the mac from here:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ports/releases/10.04/release/
and maybe I was premature and there is a work-around. I didn't know
where to raise this subject, so I'm glad you did.
I am just completing a new install of Lenny onto my G3 iMac. Usual difficulty
is to get past the 800x600 display. That's all that's on offer. Could someone
email me either the two lines to add or the xorg.conf file I can substitute to
get 1024x768? Thanks...
