you using, and are you using the default driver or the one from scyld.com?
I've had to patch the default kernel driver to work on big endian machines, and
afaik, the driver maintainer has not applied the fix, but Donald Becker
had applied it to the scyld

that the patch applies to. Also, only certain

For those interested, I upgraded my kernel from 2.2.16 to Paul's
2.2.17pre7 and the hangs caused by GDB stopped occurring.

I updated to gdb 4.18-1.1 the other day. Since then gdb has been causing
my machine to lock up. It doesn't even respond to the Magic-SysRQ key.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior?
