Thanks Matt! I checked what kernel arguments I could add to set the
right resolution. On my PM 8500 I need "video=controlfb", I also added
vmode:18"" which is supported by my display. However, I cannot change
resolutions on the
ng?
2. I have PS/2 mouse type selected, but I am using the Mac mouse via the
ADB port on the keyboard. Can I just plug a PS/2 mouse in the ADB port? I
have the adapter to fit. I thought I'd ask before trying to corral one up.

I accidentally named my computer
"Pengguin", mispelling it. I went into the /etc/hostname file and changed
it to "Penguin". Do I need to change other config files too? Some
disconnect between Xclient and Xserver?

One. It is a standard Mac mouse.
I've got a slew of things to try when I get home tonight, thanks to all for
suggestions.

MB RAM, and selected 16 MB virtual ram in the Mac control panel. Would it
crash for not enough RAM? I'm going to buy more anyway, but I was curious
if that could be the cause right there, and not fiddle with the software
until I do get the RAM.
