Hi,
I heard that "http://ppc.linux.or.jp"; is crashed,
so my "debian_prep_baseinst.iso" is removed from the
server forever.
Does anyone have the iso image itself?
Best regards.

You have to do is only make kernel for PReP.
But, The kernel needs some FB supports, for IBM machines.
That is called "calorina patch".
Sorry, I cannot help to make kernels.
I would be a hard days for graduation.
#I must graduate the University on March :-)

The default config for PReP is on the kernel source, I suppose.
And if you build it, write out the zImage on fdd, and boot from it.
That is the useful check for PRePs.
If it is good, write it on the PReP bootable area(= type41h HDD partition)
Best regards.

Update Global Environment Area of NVRAM (Y/N)? y
NOTE: It would be possible to copy the contents of disk 1 onto this
disk either as another session or simply add the files into the cdrom
directory and use mkhybrid to create the entire cd (have done in
the past), but I prefer leaving the d
and mkhybrid with PREP-BOOT option.
And burn the image on some CD-R burner.
Usage:
Set the CD-R and boot from this with,
pboot 0 (cdrom scsiID)
If cdrom have ID 3 of scsiID, then "pboot 0 30"
Best regards.

Solid Su
use this server.
RS/6000 PRePs have special S3_based framebuffer support.
But Blackhawk haven't.
There was a patch for CirrusLogic54xx based framebuffer support.
(kernel 2.2.14pre?)
But now, the driver only works on ix86 or any other little-endian
platform, I heard.
Best regards.

Works well because most of PRePs have this cards.
And, the default SCSI card on Machintosh MT300, Atto's makes, is
SYMBIOS 53c875 itself.
Best regards.
