Somehow, when adding a line to the end of the file, I must have removed

there a way I can just tell the pci subsystem that 0002:24:0f.0 is
actually a perfectly valid wireless card, perhaps?

Running unstable with 2.6.15 (had sound problem with 2.6.16)
iwconfig reports "no wireless extensions"
This line appears ominously in last in the lspci output:
0002:24:0f.0 Class : Illegal Vendor ID Unknown device (rev ff)
Good news: the wireless card still works when I boot into Mac OS
Ben,
There are a lot of new options for 2.6.16-*. Since we have the same
model, would you mind sending me your config? Graphics are fine now,
although I've never had it working well enough to play many of the
arcade games, and now my sound is busted again.

I'm running sid on 2.6.11 and am using ALSA.
After I boot I hear a faint alarm-like sound, with a periodicity a
little smaller than 1 second.
It does not continue once any sound program (xmms, realplay) takes over,
so I wouldn't call it a major problem, but it can be annoying until I

Hi.
I've got the 15" powerbook tibook (PowerBook3,5)
I am pretty sure I don't have the fully correct set of kernel config
options to take advantage of the full power of my graphics card.
The only things that don't work are games like egoboo (0 FPS, it
advertises, but it is over 5 FPM), but I sti

I had to take pretty much everything out of my powerbook to replace the
monitor cable, and now it is back together and working and I'm obviously
going to want to update my backups (dump 0).
So, I've got the dumps, and wanted to use dvdrecord or dvd+rw-tools.
I'm not having luck. autofs isn't inst

As I mentioned before, the lid for my powerbook was open as it hit the
ground, and now I can see some wires in the hinge.
I finally got around to buying the "TORX" wrenches that can be used on
the powerbook, but although I got a multi-TORX tool (sizes
10,15,20,25,27,30 and 40) they are all too big
After two years and a couple months, I broke it.
Each hinge has three parts (two part of base, the central one part of
the lid/screen).
I tripped over the power cord in the dark (never tripped over it before)
and it came crashing down, with the lid open. It was on. The screen
was white. I powe
I've gathered the drm-trunk package is no longer necessary.
However, after a fairly clean compilation, 2.6.9 doesn't get very far.
There is a quick flash of information, then blackness.
It's probably a simple .config issue.
Could someone tell me what I need turned on, and off, to get my
