Same problem here. I'd also appreciate any hint on how to get rid of

Recently, I read about some development for the built-in modem of the
latest ibook2 (600MHz).
Problem was, the routines for the modem (HCF Connexant?) was i386-only and
someone already contacted the developer.
Any news on this one?
