Hi,
Each update of console-data puts a wrong boottime.kmap.gz in my
/etc/console directory. The mapping is erronous. For example, the - key
gives me a =.
I use a PowerBook G4 Titanium with sid.
A better (more suited to my keyboard) kmap can be found at

I used the files from

This is a rpm, I used alien to debianize it.
Beware, to use it, you must compile a kernel with 'new input layer' support

I can now run X !!
I only miss the trick to emulate 3 button on my single button mac

Hi everybody,
I'm stucked in of again :-(
I managed to install potato, upgraded to sid, rsynced benh kernel, compiled
it, copied zImage to /boot/vmlinux-2.4.3 (I couldn't make bzImage, only
zImage, don't know why), changed /etc/yaboot.conf accordingly, ran ybin,
rebooted... and I now got this mes
Hi,
I am trying to install Debian on my brand new Tibook.
I have a valid install, upgraded from potato to sid (I know it's not that
clever, but I did it :-)
Now I would like to have X running (and maybe gnome, but i'm not there
yet).
I have the exact same problem Matt Mohebbi had in a thread TiP
Sometimes, my q key gives me a 'a'. 'a' key still gives 'a' too.
So I have no more 'q'. The other keys seem to work fine.
If I do a dpkg-reconfigure console-tools, things come in order again (a
chance there is no q in it !)
I couldn't find when this happen, it just happens sometimes...
Any idea
Thank you all !
adding the --partition 11 to mkofboot made it.
In case someone has the same problem, the whole command was :
mkofboot -b /dev/hda9 -m /usr/lib/yaboot/ofboot --root /dev/hda11
--partition 11
for a Apple_Boostrap partition on hda9 and / on hda11 (hda10 is swap).

Hello,
First of all, I noticed that '=' is often replaced by 't' on this list,
when viewed from the html archive.
For example, I had a hard time figuring out that 'videotofonly' was in fact
'video=ofonly'...
A few P appear as well on the end of the lines.
Is it a side effect of using Linux on a po
