just to report that I let the GRUB packages upgrade on my PowerBook G4
which was an early GRUB experiment... and nothing broke and it booted
again :-P :-P
Very good.. I hope this makes Debian PPC more accessible for many!

Did you actually enable LXDE from the task selection during
installation? When I tested
the image on my G4, I selected MATE and it installed fine. I did have
to install the
firmware though but nothing else.
I installed LXDE manually, so no, I did not use the task selection.
