After installing debian 6.0.0 in a ibm power5 lpar (power platform; powerpc
cd), the installer fails to install a bootloader (yaboot and prep both fail).
The system won't come up then of course.

Sorry but I'm running some Power6 hardware and I have a different
experience. Here is the results of the a few commands :
root@alopex-lagopus:~# sfdisk -l /dev/sda
Disk /dev/sda: 70006 cylinders, 128 heads, 32 sectors/track
Units = cylinders of 2
