However, I've had success with one machine and not with another, but it might be that I forgot to ugrade yaboot, but I also ditinctly remember that on the working one I forced the huge_file option off (I know that this partition will never be over 2TB). However, I also remember yaboot having problems with ext3 a long time ago when journaling was recent. The really safe bet is to have a small (what's a couple hundred MB this day) ext2 partition mounted at /boot with the kernels (and possibly the initrd).
