Hi,
I have a strange problem on my powerbook 5,4 with alsa switches.
Whenever I boot the machine, "Headphone" will be unset, but "Headphone
Detection" and "PC speaker" are set -- this results in sound coming
through the speaker even if the headphones are plugged in. Not a

Previously I was trying to compile kernel version 2.6.15.6. I decided
to try 2.6.8, since that's what matches what is in 3.1r1. It compiled
successfully. The ma

Just for the archives, on new Apple machines DVD playback will not work
in Linux if you don't set the region code first, which OSX will do the
first time you insert a movie DVD. This is because the drives come
without a region code preset.
I had previously posited that regionset (debian package!)

Try apt-get install xserver-xorg
Or maybe an apt-get dist-upgrade

Dear all
I will make you a "simple" question: I have some problems (most
probably) with a bug in XFree that, once in a while kills X.
I am running sarge on a ibook g3 = PB4,2 , the video card is ATI
Technologies Inc Rage Mobility M3 AGP 2x (rev 02).
