Hi all,
I tried the alsa-drivers 1.0.6 with 2.6.8.1 and got the following
error while loading snd-powermac:
snd_powermac: Unknown symbol num_controls
$ gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 3.4.1 (Debian 3.4.1-5)
Any hint?
Thx

Hi,
We need some information to try and fix a problem we have with the most
recent 2.4.x kernels (a particular area of memory where the NVRAM is
located, cannot be accessed anymore once the Linux kernel boots, looks
like it's being mapped out).
The machine uses a 745x CPU, and I understand t

For the record, I was using the daily boot floppies from powerpc-small,
which appear to be kernel 2.4.25 and not 2

'ello,
Thanks to all who've replied. It now seems to be working (I used
mknod). The problem I am currently having is the message box that pops
up when GNOME starts saying permissions on /dev/pmu are b0rked.
Apparently this is an upstream bug, however.

After experiencing a deffective inverter cable which slowly
breaks the video signal, the AC power adapter of my iBook
stopped working (after 1 year and a half only!).
Hopefully, I can easily replace the latter
part but at a quite expencive price (105 euros!).

I originally installed 'pmud' as that is what I have used with Yellowdog

make the error message go away.
'pmud' was relaced when I installed 'pbbuttonsd'. See the posting on
