please try those : http://people.debian.org/~luther/d-i/images/daily/powerpc/floppy/ Also, there is some stuff about this in the old woody documentation : http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/powerpc/ch-install-methods.en.html#s-create-floppy > For whatever reason, the machine I'm banging my head on won't boot > from the sarge netinst CD. This should be a new world though, so my above comments probably will not be usefull though :/ > So, given I have the sarge powerpc netinst CD, what do I do to boot > the thing from floppies (I have a Superdisk/LS-120 drive)? Indeed. Floppy booting is not supported on powerpc except in the oldworld and perhaps prep case. You would have to extract the kernel from the miboot floppy image though, maybe i should do so or something. The above kernels should fit just well on a LS/120 floppy though. You would only need the initrd.gz, the vmlinux and the yaboot.conf, and probably install yaboot on it or something. > Sorry if this sounds numbskulled.
