Contrast is really bad when playing a DVD on my ibook G4 (radeon 9200

Strangely enough with the kernel 2.4.25 my french keyboard is running in
qwerty mode while with the exact same configuration it's correctly
running azerty on a 2.4.24-ben1 or with an equivalent config on a 2.6.3
Any idea ?
