Hi need people who own those machiens, especially the recent iBook2 models with a G3 CPU and titanium powerbooks with a G4, to test this patch and tell me if sleep mode still works reliably or becomes unstable. (It won't help machines that cannot already sleep). Applies on top of current 2.6 but

It took me a while to figure that out, but now i finally got it. It appears that the locale command puts out a LANG variable of en_US.ISO-8859-15. I changed it to en_US, and it works. It works with all the language settings, but you have to remove the .ISO-8859-15 part. Mfg Frank Oberländer

I've rushed ahead and made the change to mine, and it doesn't seem to make any difference. Sometimes a hang on boot, but what DEFINITELY triggers it is doing something like ls /dev on a console. From an xterm it's fine, but from the console - bang the framebuffer locks solid. The box is still r

Which kernel version are you using? I just switched from 2.6.1 to 2.6.2 and this started happening with my trackball. I switched back to 2.6.1 and the problem hasn't resurfaced, so I recompiled my 2.6.2 with USB debugging and will start trying to recreate the bug. Matthew Ray --- Marc-Olivie
