I have a powerpmac 9500MP on debian 2.4.23. I install a radeon 7000
PCI. I build a kernel for it.
It works well with a vga display (Sony CPD200EST) on xfree and in the
console mode.
But I try to put an Apple studio display 17 LCD on the DVI (with apple

Still it appears to have problems finding the framebuffer device.
I attach a log file. There you can see the framebuffer device is not
found while loading module "fbdevhw" (This is my interpretation, but i'm
not a Xfree expert)

I've a tibook 15", I'm using benh's kernel 2.4.23-pre5 with michel's
latest (hopefully) drm-trunk on a debian sid. drm-trunk-modules-src is
version 2003.10.05-1.
drm-trunk-module builds fine using fakeroot, but resulting .o modules
failed to load due to unresolved symbol:

you might wanna try swf-player for that. I had mixed results with that
and uninstalled it for some reason. Don't remember anymore.

In the long march towards a completely configured system, I want to

package available in unstable. Do I have to compile this myself, make a
deb package or what? Could someone point me to some docs?

Hi,
You need a kernel that supports the ATA100 from the Pbook. I write a
small summary [1] about my experiences with my pbook. The part regarding
XFree86 has to be rewritten but despite that it should be enough to get
Debian working on the PBook.

but my http://valla.uchicago.edu/ppc/PBG412.html is at least one
