i can use it without troubles without ssl (disabling it in the profile
window), but the password is send in plain text.

I am using 1.5.4 downloaded from Debian/unstable for PPC.
The problem is that i cannot download my mail normally as suddenly KMail
crashes.

I just hit an unresolved symbol in radeon.o after building the latest
drm-trunk-module-src against 2.4.23-pre5-ben0. I've fixed it by adding
EXPORT_SYMBOL(vmalloc_start);
to the end of arch/ppc/kernel/ppc_ksyms.c, just after the export of
local_flush_tlb_all.
