thanks a lot!
it wasn't the only problem, but it was part of it...
now that this works, it seems to have created another problem

Hi!
I noticed the following line in dmesg output:
ALSA ../alsa-kernel/ppc/keywest.c:79: tumbler: cannot initialize the MCS
Can somebody tell what's the problem here?
Well, sound seems to work - kind of. After unmuting the master with amixer I
can listen to some music. But I'm not able

I've just finished getting X going on a frankenmac 7600 last week, and
your experience resonates.
When running #dpkg-reconfigure xserver-sfree86
try 'fbdev' driver instead of 'ati' driver - but wait, don't just run

hi!
i have one of the new ibooks (12", 800mhz, radeon m7).
after reading some howto's i installed xserver-xfree86-dri-trunk,
xlibmesa3-dri-trunk and drm-trunk-module-src (and compiled the
drivers).
now without the radeon-kernel-module avaiable (or with the old,
incompatible one) everything is run

Hello all,
It looks like Mac OS X is coping with iBook2 being hot, but my 2.4.20-ben5
Woody install isn't.
I have been having problems with my iBook2's keyboard and mouse -- keys
are behaving like they are stuck down (even though they aren't physically
stuck down) and the mouse is intermittently

I finally got a working monitor (an Apple Multiple Scan 1705 Display)

Hi
I had similar trouble on my G4 which was solved by installing a later
version of yaboot than the one that ships with woody.
I've installed Yaboot-1.3.8-rc4 which works fine "out of the box".
Since then there have been 2 more releases of yaboot, the latest being
1.3.10
Yaboot 1.3.10 is a
