I've been meaning to ask the list this for a month or so now, but a
while ago after an apt-get dist-upgrade on my Pismo running testing, it
no longer sleeps in X. Or rather, it sleeps, but when it wakes up the
screen comes back but it won't accept any input except turning off or
rebooting.

Hi all,
When i try and set the keyboard rate with kbdrate it simply hangs i.e
# kbdrate -r30 or kbdrate -r 30
It just waits and nothing happens
The kbdrate I am using is from the console-tools package and I am using
Debian stable on a Ti PowerBook.
Google search and a search of debian didnt sh

As one of the people that made the decision that the
majority (not all) apps be 32-bit, I can say without
hesitation that it was the right choice!

I'm attempting to install Debian 3.0r1 on a Umax SuperMac 603e/200. It
is OldWorld, so I made floppies of the boot disk (boot-floppy-hfs.img)
and root disk (root.bin). The former boots the box just fine, and the
second is ejected before starting the actually install. At this point, I

I bought a powerbook G4 last summer and installed Debian. Unfortunately
till now I can't get the video signal out to the external multimedia
projector in Debian, although it all works well with Max OS X (Jaguar).
I wonder if anybody has a solution?

Hi,
Just a curiosity question. Is your debian install setup to
regenerate the XF86Config file each time it loads? When I first setup my
install, I had this option turned on and it kept putting mine back to 8 bp
every time it booted and I had to turn it off (don't remember how of
course).

Hi,
After speaking to Lukasz about what he had to do to get suspend/resume
working on his iBook2.2, he mentioned using a stock XFree86 server instead
of the dri-trunk one, so I removed xserver-xfree86-dri-trunk and rebooted.

Hi
There is a bug in patch-floppy-image.pl. I tried using it as it is
documented :
./patch-floppy-image.pl 'root=/dev/hda8' boot-floppy-hfs.img > boot-hfs-hda8.img
but this gave me an image 1 byte smaller than the original. I fixed this
by deleting 1 space from the line:

If it's the same PMU version as the 3400 it should work, else it won't
(the 3400 being the lowest PMU version supported).
