I have just finished installing Debian, and I tried to make it
bootable. I then restarted the machine, and Open Firmware popped up

The easiest method I found was to reboot the iBook into firewire target disk
mode -- hold down the T key as you reboot. This basically turns the iBook into
a very expensive ATA to Firewire bridge; the internal disk is exposed as an
SBP2 disk.
Then plug the iBook's firewire port into another suitab

Hi all,
For roughly two weeks now, I've had serious problems with the Airport
card in my first-gen TiBook.
It will find the base station OK, get the 'usual' low link quality, and
work mostly OK (i.e. as always) for shell interactive work.
However, any important traffic (like starting an X app) j

I doubt it, what I did was mostly to add if (M7) around the patch ;)

Hello
Are there any problems with installing Gnome2 in a testing environment?
I checked the powerpc archive (back to september 2002) and I din't found
any hints. But perhaps all of you, using Gnome2, run a sid (unstable)

There is a kernel patch out which should make it work.
Nevertheless nothing happens, if I close the lid of my iBook.
By the way: When I doesn't use the iBook (runnin

I have the same problem.
With alsa, the system crashes.

But I haven't try to do in a script ...
I don't know where I have to put it.

I ask because I followed all the necessary steps (as far as I imagine)
and nothing happens.
