Why is the debian package php4 the 4.1.2 version,
which is reported to have persistent session errors ?
How is it possible to upgrade ?

The only materials I've seen on enabling the modem on an iBook are those
provided by Mij. If I understand right, his recommendation is
unfortunately very unstable. Has anyone tried it out with success or
found another alternative?

I had exactly the same problems a few days ago. After some fiddling
with different kernels and PMU/PRAM resets I called Appl
I have a TiBook3 which has a M7. Sometimes the fb (or the X screen) is
like out of sync (it's horizontaly out of sync like the old tv
scrambling systems). Basicly under X I see 3 partial pointers.
Is your problem similar?

I've now Debian 3.0 Woody (stable) and try to install on my
PowerBook Wallstreet G3, 233MHz. During the installation
I choose the ati video driver. My Problem is, I didn't get XFree86 (Version
4.1.x) to run.
My PB have an ati rage lt pro graphic-chip.

Is there anyone who has had success with the the radeonfb module on the
newest iBook2 which has a different radeon than the previous version?
(The new radeon being Mobility M7 LW.)
I have the benh kernel source with version 2.4.20-rc3-ben0 with
RADEON_FB=y and it seems to load radeonfb correctl

I think we had this some time ago, but I can't find it anymore :-/. So
I'm very thankful to every hint.
Problem is, that my ibook just switches off with about 50% battery. When
turning on again, it keeps telling me it only had 0% and loads from
there.
System is a debian sid with 2.4.20-rc
I try vlc and ot get one or two frame per second ... it's correct but not
perfect.
But I can use subtitles, like a "real" dvd player.
I haven't try ogle ... i will.

Ever since I upgraded my kernel from
2.4.19-presomething-benh, I have been getting tons of
lockups on wake. The machine is powerbook g4, first
revision, 400MHz. The wakeup lockups are always in X, but I
never use the console. X is not using DRI.
As for modules, I've got dmasound_pmac loaded, an
