this should work on a 7200 class machin
Did you change the boot-command to the one mentioned in the nvsetenv
man page? With the disk that I have, on my 7200, it often took
several tries before it would boot using quik off the hard drive
(let's say a success rate of 20%). Strangely, having a floppy in
the drive increased the success rat

I used to work for Transvirtual, the firm responsibly for kaffe. I
personally, several times, asedk them about PowerPC support. They
seemed interested, but whenever I tried mentioning we should get some Macs
for development, they lost interest. I even mentioned that I could bring
in my own mac as

Well, I got X to work with the ati driver finally. I used 4.0.3-3 for
everythiong except xserver-xfree86, which is at 4.0.2-7.
The only problem now is that a 'startx' brings a blank screen that dies
after about 10 seconds. There is 'NO' error, just a die. I thought it was
all of X until I
I installed the xlibmesa3 package (and removed the mesa3 package because
of depends.).
How do I file a bug-report?

Just like any other USB mouse that's supported by the kernel: yes.

Normal - XFree doesn't cope with 565 (16 bit) color for me either.

With my newworld Cube G4 I got an optical "Apple Pro Mouse" on USB.
The Cube has an ATI Rage128.
3 Questions:
1. Is it possible to use the gpm for the console?
With which configuration?
2. How is it possible to emulate the second and third mouse key
in X with this "one-key" Apple Mouse

This is little information, but I guess it's the framebuffer device failing to
initialize the requested mode. Is it su

Hi,
Finally, journaling file system ReiserFS coming to the Mac, thanks to
Jeff Mahoney from SuSE. Installation of ReiserFS on Mac is rather tricky,
but really worth trying.

Hi,
I have encontered the following problem (on Apple iBook FireWire Indigo,
Summer 2000 model with Rage 128 Mobility) while upgrading from XFree 4.01
to 4.02 - my manually tweaked XF86Config does not work anymore. startx
results abort either in libxramdac either in libxaa.

Hello all,
I've just installed kde, and I'm attempting to run Konqueror as my web
browser. However, I can't seem to run java applets! I've researched the
java-vm and it appears that it is only set to look for kaffe, which doesn't
seem to be available for powerpc...is there anything I can do abo
