Hey,
I am unable to get CD's to play on my Pismo. I've searched the WWW and
found a few clues, but nothging that worked. Can someone provide a
clue?
Thanks,
jas.
Hi, I am using Debian 2.2 on a PowerCenter.
I don't know anything about installing Debian on iMacs, but...

First of all, I am new here and so I say hello to everybody.
Then the question(s): in the past I installed various releases of YellowDog
Champion Server and Suse Linux for PowerPc, and succeeded with not so much
difficulties in solving the problems I found during the installation
process and the

I don't have the technical background to follow a lot of this thread,
but I've been studying pthreads, and it seems that whether a certain
process gets executed more quickly on a multiprocessor computer depends
on how well the process uses threads for concurrency. So in a
compilation sc

fyi it was a kernel patch. it would be very gross to hardcode 2001 in the
kernel, that's why i chose the epoch.

I posted a patch on linuxppc-dev that pushes pre-1970 dates up to 1970 at
boot time. I haven't followed up on it.
gpm (segfaults) and the jdk (vm won't init) also refuse to work given
negative dates.

sorry this won't work, yaboot has no such option `video=' so the
kernel never sees this. the correct way is:
Interesting... I certainly believe you, since you would know. There
are number of sample yaboot configs floating around in the mailing
list archives with video=foo, obviously misinfo
A strange problem on my powerbook appeared when I blew away my MacOS 9.0.4
install and put MacOS 9.1 on it.
I booted off of the 9.1 CD and formatted the partition that had OS 9.0.4
installed on it (/dev/hda10). Then I installed MacOS 9.1.
At some point after I erased the OS 9.0.4 partition, a d
I'm afraid it's even worse than that. I haven't looked up the
design specs on the web or anything, but I believe the Daystar
design is quite poor in a number of ways, some of them not really in
their control. First, it's not SMP, it's really AMP, or Asymetric
MP: only processor 0 gets interrupts.
