O.K., I am a little embarrased to admit it but I just
remove the all important /bin directory. Am I simply
screwed? Do I need to do a clean install? If not,
how do I re-install the missing apps?
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
THANKS,

XFree86 4.0.2-12 for i386 has been uploaded to auric's incoming. (Yes, I
built it against libc6 2.2.2-2, not 2.2.2-3 or later.)
It is my intention for this to be my last release in the 4.0.2 series.

Hi!
I am the happy owner of an Apple PowerBook G4 (the "TiBook"). Happy not
only because of the nice piece of hardware, but also because after 5 days
of struggle I have finally succeeded in making it run Debian Sid complete
with X11 :-)
I am tweaking a few .deb packages and compiling varius kerne

Hmmm... Well, all I can tell is you that switching from UFS to HFS+ on my
system amazingly improved responsiveness. My origin

I reinstalled OSX formatting the partition to HFS+, instead of UFS as it
had bit.
OSX runs about twice as fast now, airpo
Hi,
That's a well known problem for which you can find a solution in the
archives:
sleep is not supported on Core99 machines. Well, was not.
You can find experimental (although it worked very fine for me) support
in BenH's latest tree (check penguinppc.org for instructions on getting
the kernel).
