i have gone through the base install booting from the floppies as i cant
seem to boot from the CDs and once it is installed i cant get linux to

When I try to install Debian 2.2, everything goes fine untill the installer
starts unpacking Emacs. As soon as it starts unpacking it, all activity
stops and the screen freezes. All I can do is to reboot the system and do
the installation all over again (I once waited for about an hour but

You need to be more specific as to what machine you have. There are PowerMacs,
which need Mac keymaps
