I'm interested to know if my 2.2.17pre20 on ppclinux.apple.com/~benh
(binaries posted today) also fails to boot your machine, and and which
point in boot does it stop ?
Ben.

Hi Michael,
I'm also running debian on a 7200. Unlike Adam but like Ethan's friend,
the last kernel I could got running was 2.2.14. I have tried 2.2.15 and
2.2.16 and neither would work. I have yet to compile my own kernel
though so maybe something will be different there. I have tried a ke
after going through the install process several times, i still can't get
potato to boot from the disk. i'm using boot-floppy-hfs.img, and an ide
disk. i've installed on intel hundreds of times, and quite a few on sparc,
but this is my first experience of any kind with a mac. any idea what's
wrong?

I remember reading somewhere that it's mainly for PReP/CHRP while pmac-devel
was supposed to be for PowerMacs. What's the advantage of bitkeeper for
PowerMac users?

Hi,
I see that both
linuxcare.com.au::linux-pmac-devel /usr/src/linux-stable
linuxcare.com.au::linux-pmac-devel /usr/src/linux-unstable
are not being updated as they used to. I would like to
know
1. if this tree is still alive, and
2. what is the official kernel tree for PPC
Thanks,
Sergio
