obvious way so far), so it is somewhat in your responsibility to ensure
your reverse dependencies are updated rather than e.g. just waiting for
FTBFS to come in from archive-wide rebuild efforts.
I would suggest talking to maintainers of similar packages
have posted your ITP, you have invited sponsors, you have done
your thing. Now in my experience, a few months can go by until someone
finds the time, and wants to spend the time to sponsor your package.
No offence; this is only my perspective as someone who relies regularly
on sponsorship by the generous Debian mentors.

Tomboy but without the dependency issues.
When first submitted to Debian, back in 2020, I was advised to use Qt5
instead of GTK2, its built with FPC and Lazarus, so switching is
trivial. Sadly, in the rush to
tHub tags instead of releases page.

I have a compiler suite --- the Amsterdam Compiler Kit --- which I'm
thinking of packaging. Trouble is, it's a bit of a moving target as it
doesn't have releases and there's a slow trickle of activity making
changes. I could do a packaging for it and get it reviewed and uploaded,
but then I'd have
