In the latest upstream release of a package, the authors put a debian/
directory into the source that is totally stuffed :(. How will the
diff between upstream and my changes handle this if I remove their
debian/ directory, and use mine instead?

I'd just like to announce our intent to provide Debian packages for OCS
We are working on it, packages for ocs-base and ocsexplorer are up
(tentatively)on our FTP server:
ftp://ftp.obsidian.co.za:/pub/ocs/web/DEBS
Let me know of any problems you may have with getting the packages to install.
