How can I configure lightdm to use session-setup-script="path to script"
and still autologin?
It looks likes any changes to /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf cause autologin to
fail.
Is there another place where I can exec a scripts on login?

I've been trying to change the theme, icons, logos for the graphical
installer but can find no information about this. There is also no mention
of the graphical installer in the Live-Build manual.

I've made a replacement package for rootskel-gtk, using the previous
version rootskel-gtk_1.27 as the source, and placed it in each of the
following folders, one at a time and cleaned the cache and done a build.

The reason I found this issue is because I couldn't shutdown, then I

I've used the installer from the desktop to install to the hdd and have
found the user in the installed os doesn't have sudo , however, when I
install from the grub menu with the text installer the user does have sudo.

The text installer is launched from grub menu, and creates the admin user
correctly with sudo privileges.
I don't understand why the debian-installer-launcher from the live session
doesn't also create the admin user with sudo privileges?

Using --initramfs-compression lzma gives me good compression, however, I'm
also getting kernel panic when starting a live session.
I'm also using --chroot-filesystem squashfs.
Are they usable in combination?

I agree with Michal Suchanek answer. The repo for old stable (wheezy) will
contain all the latest packages, which is 7.10.
I have some 7.6 iso's I can upload if that would help.

Try here, select 8.5.0 or current folder, the select your architecture i.e.
amd64, i386, then iso-(cd or dvd) scrolldown the page to see the iso files
or bt-(cd or dvd).

I didn't find a package named a2ps-amd64, but there is on named a2ps.
