Hello to the list, I just started using the live helper, I've browsed the wiki and the list archives but still couple of questions remains: 1) what is the option for having the less booting output as possible?(splash=silent?) 2) I replaced gdm with slim as DM, without customization slim starts a

Hi! 1) splash=silent will only work if you have installed a splashscreen. Another option could be the boot option 'console=ttyS0'. Then the kernel log will be written to the first serial output, and you won't see any boot messages. 3) Set LH_DEBIAN_INSTALLER to false in config/binary. Regards,

Hello, I'm trying to produce a debian live with enlightment and slim as display manager, I'd like the file slim.conf in /etc to be over written by a custom one during lh build, how should i do it? Another thing, I see dhcp being triggered even if the ethernet plug is not in and /etc/network/inter

Hi, Please take a look into the documentation. config/chroot_local-includes is your friend for overwriting files. For the networking stuff either overwrite the file via includes/hooks or do it via interactive chroot. The manual is your friend. Regards, Thomas On Tue, May 11, 2010 at 2:34 PM,

Custom initramfs scripts.

2010-05-11 Thread fruity
Hello, I'm making some new initramfs scripts but don't know where to put them to be included while doing lh build. One is to load a loop file with home for user, one is for checking on boot if there is an alternate (suffix -update) of the squashed file system so it can overwrite the old squashfs
