I cannot get a java runtime environment to work properly under the
debian-live cd.
I cannot get the applets to display.
I will list how far I have got but feel I'm actually going about this
the wrong way.
I have google'd these lists (and generally) but not found an answer.

Thanks for the quick reply.
When we connect to a HP Proliant iLO and select "Remote Console" tag
and then "Remote Console Information", HP state the following "The
"Remote Console" selection requires java Virtual Machine (jvm) version
1.4.2 for proper operation". So that is what we have

I have now added -- categories "main contrib non-free" to my lh_config
build line
and "apt- cache search" now lists all the sun-java and openjdk
packages in
