For me it looks like only some last past of the building process is
what is needed, and that I might issue that last command manually
rather than deleting all files and start over again (this is on
powerpc, as you can see from the yaboot stuff in binary).
Any hints?

on a CD.

I thought the "dev" option would be enough here, but it does'nt seem

there is room left on the CD, perhaps explicitly including
gnome-accessibility would be a good idea?
Another route would be to make gnome-desktop-environment depend on
gnome-accessibility (or gnome-orca) rather than just recommen
"no patches", which means that including orca or not is up to the
maintainer of gnome in debian, not of the debian-live people. Write to
the debian maintainer of gnome instead of arguing on this list.

Q. What is that strange attachment in this mail?
A.

and live-helper will create the image-file for you.
Perhaps debian-live could have a webbpage with a table of links to

debian-live use that build of d-i?

Lenny has live-initramfs 139-3, Sid has live-initramfs 139-4
1. Is it possible to build a lenny image, but with live-initramfs
139-4 from Sid?
2. If so, then how?
I tried to manually install 139-4 in the chroot before rebuilding, to
no avail.

So it seems some script is trying to mount /cow twice. Just exiting
the shell with Ctrl-d (twice) works, and then the boot goes well. This
is a bit annoying of course.

ou see, I don't specify a SPLASH. Don't know if that could matter.
[1] The last command, that creates the ext2/ext3 file-system use to
fail, but when I issue the same command manually a few seconds later
it works, perhaps the script need to sleep before the last command.

Patch attached.
Just to ensure that I did the right thing here.
First, I edited chapters/live-environment.xml, then:
$ git-add chapters/live-environment.xml
$ git-format-patch origin
Which produced the file I've attached.

I then retry only

So, if I want to use Debian Live on an etch system, do I have to build
my own cdebootstrap package from the source package in lenny, or are
there other options?
