I have solved this problem using fglrx from Flavio Staccina and setting
up xorg using two monitors. I switch the two config files. I you need
more detailed information please write to me as I need to redo
everything after a kernel update.

The output from of "lspci" and "uname -a" and some more information

Hi all,
I bought a ThinkPad R52 and installer Debian using new
debian-installer, everything is working fine except:
1) suspend
2) DVD
I am triyng to solve the second but I was unable to let ata_piix to
support the PATA DVD? Is there a solution other then compile my own
kernel?
Can somebody
bled=1
in /etc/modprobe.d/libata.
This seams to me that Debian kernel packagers changed something in the
configuration.
Thanks to all for suggestions.

I do not use SVGATextMode any more, enable the framebuffer if you like a
better control on console output fonts.

I am continuing to use pcmcia-cs external drivers. I updated to
version 3.1.22. I used it with kernel 2.4.3 and now with 2.4.4. But I am
considering to try kernel support with next update to 2.4.5.
