klaptopdaemon is supposed to work with acpi, although you will need to
download the source and patch it (ran into a patch somewhere) so that
it will look for the files in the right place as the packaged version
looks for them in the old place under proc.

I was thinking of connecting to adsl, and got a choice of the folowing
two modems, both usb, and I was wondering if they work under a beige G3
mac running debian.
I'll also need to install a usb card so if there is any trouble with

alias eth0 8139too
to /etc/modules.conf as sugested in the documentation under
kernel-src/Documentation/modules.txt
but it didn't seem to do anything.
running "ifconfig eth0 up" or "ifconifg eth0 192.168.0.1" returned

Anyone managed to get a frame buffer other then the vesa one to work for
the ati rage mobilty M1 card (on a sony vaio in my case)?
I tried aty128 but it seems that no fb is recognised. same for radeon
fb. With the atyfb I get a jumbled screen. It seems that it is
recognised and things seem to work,
