Hi!
Can anyone provide me a XF86Config file for the ATI Rage 128 Mobility
Chip. I'm using the "non free" XF86_Rage128 server but I'm not able
to get it run.
I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 with a 1600x1200 TFT on Debian 2.2r3. I
tried to "dist-upgrade" to the "unstable" dist in Order to use the X 4.0
Ahm, unfortunately it didn't help. Here is the output after a startx:

Yes, I know this. But my potato dist has the 3.3.6 version of xfree86, so I
need the old format, don't I?

Hi!

Just to be sure, do you have the "PS/2" protocol entry in your XF86Config
and your kernel has ps2 support enabled?
I had also problems after using my wheel mouse with "IMPS/2" protocol. If I
didn't switch back to "PS/2" the mouse pointer did cracy things on the
screen.
An other idea might be that
Hallo!
I'm struggling to get this IBM Turbo 16/4 PCMCIA card to work on a 2.4.5
kernel. I'm using debian unstable and the pcmcia-cs 3.1.26 package.
Strangely I get the card running with the default kernel 2.2.19pre17 of the
distro.
When I start the token ring card under 2.4.5 with "/etc/init.
Jörgen,
as a first quick "hack" try to move the /etc/rc2.d/S20inetd entry to a
backup place. For example:
cd /etc/rc2.d
mkdir backup
mv S20inetd backup
This should do no harm unless someone wants to connect to your laptop from
outside. I thought about what could cause the inetd to hang at sta
Hallo!
I struggled several weeks to get a custom made 2.4.x kernel running that

A warmly recommend to use Alan Cox kernel patch ( I used ac18 ). This token

Hi Dieter,
which MTA are you using??? (postfix, sendmail, exim, ...?)
I had compareable troubles till I got postfix configured right.
I could send you my config file if you want it.

If you have to use a token ring card use the ibm turbo 16/4 together with the
latest kernel patch from Alan Cox.
