i finally made it. I m a happy debian user now. Here is how i solved the
problem.
First of all, i saw that the message i was getting was " Failed to
initialize core devices ". So a searched for it in google. I found that
someone solved the problem by. 1. running command mo
i forgot to mention that i cant use the mouse of my laptop for some reason.
Instead of this i use my usb mouse.

I had a perfect working Sarge installation and decided to upgrade to
Etch. My laptop is a Asus M6Ne running a custom 2.6.11.10 patched to
improve my synaptics touchpad.
After the upgrade i couldn't get XOrg to start, but after googling
around i reinstalled hotplug instead of udev. To be honest
