I am sending this message from an Acer 5002 WLMi with Debian through
wireless (using a Linksys router).
The first difference I see, between your configuration and mine, is that
I am using the "bcmwl5" driver (without the "a").
Worth a try.

OK, no problem. But if you can move stuff to the wpasupplicant config
file, that's probably a better solution. The Debian specific in

I've just updated a Dell Inspiron 3800 from 64MB to 192MB of RAM. When
Linux boots, a message says "System memory has changed" followed by

I understand that the LILO config file could be changed ... except I'm
not using LILO. I'm usi
Well, the getting the audio to work is proving harder than I expected,
so I am canvasing suggestions if any gurus out there have any ideas..
The situation is as follow:

my old SuSE 7.3 sitting in a partition and can boot and

Good day everyone,
Has anyone got experience installing
a TV tuner to a LINUX machine?
Is it possible to receive a TV program
using the tuner and store it in the hard
disk for later viewing?
What kind of software do you need to do it
(assuming you have a TV tuner and a DVD burner
in your PC)?

Hello,
Almost got everything working perfectly now. However, I'm unable
to get external USB mice (mouses?) working. I have USB support
compiled in the kernel. When I plug in the USB mouse and/or USB
memory stick I do get some new entries in /dev/bus/usb/001/xxx.
However, they aren't mountable

Hello,
I have been using a tuner TV for 5 years with Linux. It works perfectly.
The kernel must be compiled with the good options (it is the case for
Debian).
I use xawtv and xawdecode.
Haven't tried recording, though.
