I have the same problem, but even with a plugged laptop until it refreshes the
few the first time. Annoying thing is, that it shut my laptop down on very
boot when I had automatic shutdown switched on (lol). More strange is, that
the percantage shown IS correct - only the time left isn' t. So I

Ok, some more info.
I googled for my problem again and I found out ( here:
http://julien.lerouge.free.fr/md9675.html ) that "Fan starts at 70 °C, and
speeds up at 90 °C".
And it's seems impossible that after starting the OS the fan reaches 70 °C,
we have windows 98 and cant get no sound through our spreakers we used to but now we havent got that little sound control thing in our bottom corner
