Which X are you using? I needed to go to XFree86 4.3 for my
...kernel 2.4.19 and oricoco_cs driver.

Just noticed that my Acer TM800 feels quite hot. Fan is not running,
though, and akpi shows only about 48°C - which wouldn't be that
critical. Now maybe I'm wrong and akpi is right and there's nothing to
worry about, but I want to be sure that the fan is independent off any
OS specific acpi

You propably want to upgrade the firmware on the card

Inspiron 500m (bought in Germany). Same graphics chip, though. The
problem is that Dell just doesn't provide the needed Video BIOS
update.
